The Falkirk Wheel, located roughly between Edinburgh and Glasgow, is also a fascinating place to visit with plenty of photo opportunities. I made a quick detour to catch it en route to a photo walk in Glasgow and enjoyed blue skies. As I brewed up an Aeropress with freshly ground coffee (much to the amusement of my fellow photographers), I couldn’t help but notice the striking reflection in the still surface of the lake. The lift looks twice as big as it really is with the axis on the water’s surface, but the rotation, of course, takes place around the tube, half way up the structure.
